유태승 시인의 시선집 <내 마음의 장대로>이다. 지금까지 7권의 시집을 낸 유태승 시인이 그동안 발표한 작품 중 엄선하여 이번 시선집을 준비하였다.

With The Pole OfMy Heart
A great poem deservedly should inspire poets who read it, I guess. Thus have been designed my poems in such wise that numerous episodes and memories of my life stay melted in in whispers all along.
What a weary journey of hardship it was that followed ever since I was just 14 years old when I lost my beloved mother ! I miss terribly, however, Maejol Hill that in those painful days struggling to survive I used to cross over day after day on my way to/from school and the beautiful, fascinating Marumoteh village on the other side as well, full of large golden pine trees.
Those good old surroundings like pines, wild roses, fleabane, ringdoves, cuckoos, sparrows, wrens, crakes and golden rice plants of rainfed rice terraces, as well as the sun and the moon, together with rains, winds, large snowflakes, fogs and so on … all of which friendly accompanied and encouraged me to endure tearful tough times.
The Maroomoteh of my hometown where I used to dream of picking stars with the pole of my heart …. I cannot but sing the thankful and precious scenery of those old places.
And I gladly admire : How beautiful this world is !

자연과 고향에 대한 사랑,
어머니와 아내에 대한 사랑이 가득 담겨있다.
또한 이번 시선집으로 6개 국어로 번역한 번역 시집이 나올 예정인데
그중 영어 번역본이다.
유태승 시인의 건필과 문운을 기대한다.
