이 책 는 2014년 첫 출간되었던 <어느 할아버지의 에너토피아 이야기>의 영어판이다. 에너토피아는 저자가 에너지 걱정 없는 세상을 꿈꾸며 '에너지'와 '유토피아'를 결합해 만든 단어로 에너지 자급률이 50%가 넘는 나라, 에너지 사용에 불편이 없는 사회, 에너지 자원이 풍부할 뿐만 아니라 에너지 효율이 높고 에너지 운용 기술이 뛰어난 나라를 말한다.

This book is the English version of A Grandpa's Story of Enertopia, which was first published in 2014 in Korea. The "Enertopia" is a word that combines the nouns "energy" and "utopia." The Enertopia is a country that generates over 50 percent of its own power needs and does much to encourage the use and the support of energy generation and efficiency.
This book, Enertopia: An Affluent Society with Energy, is an autobiographic management essay on the basis of the author's experience as CEO of the KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation). In this book Park describes the process of achieving "energy utopia" with his outstanding leadership and managerial style for the purpose of constructing a society with no shortage of energy.
